Delta Zeta believes in a woman’s potential to lead and serve; a potential that can only truly be reached through an education. As such, Delta Zeta strives to reach the highest point of academic excellence possible.
Members of the Alpha Sigma chapter of Delta Zeta are involved in numerous honor societies and organizations, including Order of Omega, Phi Eta Sigma, Presidential Scholars, Global Scholars, and Garnet & Gold Key, the oldest honorary society on Florida State’s campus.
We encourage our members to always put their academics first, pairing each new member with an older sister in the same major to serve as their personal academic adviser. Members are required to complete a certain number of study hours each semester, and are rewarded with various gift cards for each “A” they earn. Additionally, at the end of each semester, an Academics Dinner is held for alumnae and active members alike to celebrate the academic achievements of the past semester.
Post-graduation our sisters end up all over the world due to their hard work as Undergraduates. We currently have sisters working for Willis Towers Watson, Vera Wang, Teach for America, and serving time in the Peace Corps.
Delta Zeta believes that an education is the most fundamental tool a woman can have, a principle evident in the work ethic of each of its members.
