My name is Hannah Thomsen, and I am so excited that you’re considering going through recruitment and learning more about Delta Zeta.
I remember coming to Florida State feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. Recruitment can feel overwhelming at first, and it’s completely normal to wonder where you’ll fit in. What stood out to me about Delta Zeta was how genuine the conversations felt. The women I met were kind, confident, and welcoming in a way that immediately put me at ease. I didn’t feel like I had to impress anyone—I felt like I could just be myself. That feeling of comfort and authenticity is what led me home to Delta Zeta.
Since joining, Delta Zeta has given me more than I ever expected. It has given me friendships that make campus feel smaller, leadership opportunities that have pushed me to grow, and sisters who celebrate my wins and support me through challenges. Whether it’s late-night talks, study sessions, or cheering each other on at events, the sense of sisterhood here is something truly special.
As you go through recruitment, my biggest advice is to trust your instincts and keep an open heart. Be present in each conversation, ask questions, and pay attention to where you feel most comfortable and valued. You deserve to find a place where you feel supported, encouraged, and at home.
My sisters and I cannot wait to meet you. Welcome to Florida State University—we are so excited for you to start this next chapter! 💚
